Davo Leads North Narrabeen To Victory in the 2010 National Jim Beam Surf Tag Final

North Narrabeen Boardrider’s Club were crowned national champions after taking out a thrilling final in the Jim Beam Surf Tag last weekend.

Led by current world number 20, Chris Davidson and former ASP veteran Nathan Hedge, the extremely experienced and polished team of 5 surfed incredibly all weekend.

The Central Coast’s Avoca finished runners up with Manly’s North Steyne in Third.
Lennox/Ballina had a strong team and finished in fourth position.

“Surfing the ASP world tour event is so much different in a way, there’s a lot more pressure on me here. You want to do well not, just for your self, but for your five man team and your beach. The whole spirit of the club thrives on the Jim Beam Surf Tag event” said Chris Davidson captain of the Narrabeen team.

World number 25 Ace Buchan from Avoca posted the highest ‘power wave’ score in the event, scoring a 9.24.

Its great to see that the Northern Beaches continue to dominate the Australian Surf Tag series with a 1st and a 3rd place.
